3tentos made the first payment of 3tentos + this Friday, May 30, to rural producers who purchased the product last year, totaling R$22 million in financial resources.
3tentos + is a solution that offers farmers, after the barter is closed, the option of participating in a possible appreciation in the price of soybeans.
According to 3tentos Commodities Manager, João Fernando Wiatrovski, 3tentos + consists of a solution aimed at the market. "The cost of joining depends on the scenario, but the tool is always offered and the producer can acquire it at any time", he explained.
An important differentiator of 3tentos + is that the producer will not suffer losses. If the price drops, the remuneration will be that agreed upon in the barter.
Launched at CropShow 2024, an event held annually by 3tentos at the beginning of the soybean harvest, the solution proved attractive to producers, with a participation of around 75% of customers in Rio Grande do Sul.
“3tentos is committed to offering innovative and safe solutions for rural producers, especially in times of instability in commodity prices. Thus, we created 3tentos +, which emerged as an opportunity for producers to take on a new position with the rise in the market, ensuring greater profitability”, he commented.
How it works
When bartering, the producer can purchase 3tentos + with the base price of the contract as a limit. Throughout the harvest, he can lock in the price at a time when it is high. In this way, he can improve the exchange rate, getting more for less.
The credit is financial, the farmer will receive it in cash, and not in credit or cashback. When delivering the year's production, 3tentos settles the CPR (Rural Product Certificate) and, on the same day, issues a price supplement note.
The option can only be made once, however, the producer can make more than one contract, and thus use the option for each contract.
A 1,000-hectare plantation that uses 100% of its production via barter, for example, can contract 3tentos + once, or the farmer can divide it into three packages of 300 hectares, for example, with or without the product. For each package that has 3tentos +, he can exercise the option to participate in the increase.
“It depends on the producer's business model, how he conducts the acquisition of inputs to grow his crops. Our goal is to offer simple and profitable barter”, concluded the manager.
Alexandre Gasperin, a rural producer from Ronda Alta (RS) and a 3tentos customer since May 2022, purchased 3tentos + and recommends it.
“With 3tentos + I managed to increase the value of my grain. It is a simple and safe process, because when you are stuck in grains, you don’t need to give up technology. If the price drops, you know they will honor it, for sure. In addition, we can count on the training of 3tentos technicians, who are always with us”, commented Gasperin.
